HISTORY of Ayala Avenue
The part of the avenue, from Paseo de Roxas to Makati Avenue (near of it), was a runway of the Nielson Airport, Luzon's first airport.The airport was in blaze on December 10, 1941 when Japanese attacked it. If you're from Guadalupe (Tulay), take a jeep bound for Taft/Leveriza (jeep terminal is located under MRT Guadalupe). Just tell the driver to drop you off at RCBC (located at corner Buendia-Ayala Avenue). The jeep fare is only Php7.00 per person.
